Our Mission

simplified strength & conditioning for the sport coach

SaFe Iron training provides an organized approach to improve the safety and efficacy of existing strength training programs, or to build a new program from the ground up. Traditional strength and conditioning certifications target the full-time strength and conditioning professional vs. the sport coach with multiple on-campus responsibilities. These certifications are time consuming to acquire and maintain, limiting the number of coaches pursuing them. We agree with this practice! Full-time Strength and conditioning professionals should meet established standards to become certified in the same way that physicians must satisfy stringent requirements to obtain a license. Not everyone can or should practice medicine. However, almost everyone can and should be trained to save a life through CPR. It isn’t just practical, it's safe practice. Should strength and conditioning be any different? SaFe Iron’s answer is no.

Rather than rely on the knowledge of the handful of full-time strength coaches currently employed in middle and high schools, SaFe Iron seeks to give every sport coach the knowledge and skills to implement safe and effective strength and conditioning programs. With sport specialization and injury rates on the rise, there has never been a greater need for well-designed strength and conditioning programming.

If you wait on the day that your school district hires a full-time strength and conditioning coach, you may have waited too long. You will have missed critical opportunities to improve the athleticism of your athletes and the success of your team. Opportunities you can never get back.

If you're a coach, take the steps to be better for your athletes and seek education. If you're an athletic director, demand better education for your staff. Don't wait on the imaginary day your school budget allows for a full-time strength coach. Contact SaFe Iron TODAY.
